This policy describes how Mission Neighborhood Health Center (MNHC) handles information collected through our public website at www.mnhc.org. If you are a patient of MNHC, the medical information we collect when you receive care is governed separately by our Notice of Privacy Practices (HIPAA) — see the link at the bottom of this page.
When you visit www.mnhc.org we collect a small amount of information automatically:
MNHC does not run third-party analytics, advertising pixels, social-media trackers, or session-replay tools on this website. We do not use Google Analytics, the Meta Pixel, or any similar measurement service. We made this choice deliberately because patients of a federally qualified health center deserve a website hardened against tracking that could expose health-related browsing to outside companies.
Our contact page lists phone numbers, fax numbers, and email addresses. We ask you not to include health information, symptoms, test results, or appointment requests in email or web messages — email is not encrypted and is not a secure channel for medical information. Use the phone number on our contact page for anything related to your care.
MNHC does not sell or share website visitor information with any third party for advertising or marketing purposes. The only third parties that receive your information through the website are our hosting provider (Vercel) and any service providers strictly necessary to operate the site, each acting on our written instructions. No "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information" link is required because there is no sale or sharing to opt out of.
Server request logs are retained by Vercel for the operational and security retention windows defined in their policies. The mnhc-locale cookie expires one year after your most recent visit; you can clear it at any time through your browser settings.
If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA) give you the right to (1) know what personal information we have collected about you, (2) request that we delete personal information we have collected about you, (3) correct inaccurate personal information, and (4) limit the use and disclosure of sensitive personal information. To exercise these rights, contact our Privacy Officer at compliance@mnhc.org or (415) 552-1013 ext. 2225. We will respond to verifiable requests within 45 days. Note that medical information you provide as a patient is governed primarily by HIPAA and the California Confidentiality of Medical Information Act (CMIA) — see the Notice of Privacy Practices.
Because MNHC does not sell or share personal information for cross-context advertising, there are no opt-out signals to honor today. If we ever add advertising or measurement that would qualify as a sale or share under CCPA, this policy will be updated and we will treat the Sec-GPC: 1 browser signal as a valid opt-out request.
This website is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 through the website. Parents and guardians who believe a child has submitted personal information to us through the website may contact compliance@mnhc.org so we can delete it.
We will update this page when our practices change. The "last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Material changes that affect your rights will be summarized at the top of the page for at least 30 days after the change.
