Medical Services
A new service at MNHC. Licensed acupuncturists work alongside your primary care team — for pain, stress, sleep, and overall wellness.
New at MNHC.
Acupuncture is now part of the full-scope care MNHC offers. Licensed acupuncturists work alongside your medical, behavioral, and dental teams — bilingual, culturally-respectful, and sliding-scale.
A typical MNHC session runs 45–60 minutes. Here's what happens:
Your acupuncturist reviews your history, current medications, and goals. If your MNHC primary care provider made the referral, they'll already have that note in front of them.
Pulse-taking and tongue observation — Traditional Chinese Medicine tools used alongside your Western evaluation to guide the treatment plan.
Very fine sterile needles are placed at specific points. Most patients describe mild sensation or no pain at all. You rest quietly while the needles work.
Your acupuncturist reviews what you noticed during the session, offers tips on stretching, sleep, or nutrition, and schedules the next visit if appropriate.
