Update on MNHC’s COVID-19 Response
San Francisco Mayor London Breed has confirmed that the shelter in place order has been extended until at least May 3rd. MNHC continues to be engaged in the public health response to the COVID-19 pandemic and we continue to be open to serve the medical needs of our patients.
We are conducting mostly visits by telephone for our patients and screening patients for cold or flu symptoms over the phone. Patients with suspected COVID-19 symptoms that may need to be examined are isolated from other patients.
Testing for COVID-19 is still not widely available for the general population but we are able to test high-risk patients based on doctor’s orders.
Behavioral Health staff is also available to counsel and guide patients through telephone visits.
We want to remind our patients and community to remain at home except for necessities. Please remember to maintain a social distance of six feet and wash your hands for 20 seconds.
There are challenging times for all of us and we encourage everyone to stay well and healthy during this time. We recommend exercising at home, drinking plenty of water, eating healthy foods and socializing with others over the phone or other social media platforms.
Once again, I want to thank our medical providers and staff for continuing to come to work every day and care for our patients and community.
With gratitude,
Brenda Storey
Executive Director
