In Solidarity

A Message from MNHC’s Executive Director

At Mission Neighborhood Health Center, our mission is honor our Latino roots with a tradition of providing compassionate, patient-centered care to our community members of every configuration, immigration status, color and faith. As we continue to struggle to address this COVID-19 pandemic, another long-term pandemic, racism, is tearing our country apart.

The deaths of George Floyd, Ahmaud Arbery, Breonna Taylor, and countless other Black men and women were tragic and senseless. No person should fear for their life or receive unequal treatment because of the color of their skin. But the harsh reality is that for too many people in our country, this is their lived experience.

As a health center who values strong relationships, we stand in solidarity with our African American sisters and brothers and feel their pain.

Some of us will pray, some of us will march, some of us will educate. Ultimately, we need to unite our voices to help drive change and support the path to healing. The crisis of systemic racism in America is something that demands action and attention from all of us. Black lives matter.

We ALL must stand together. Now.
