Adult & Senior medicine services include:

  • Preventative services include: physical examinations, cancer screenings, vaccinations and tuberculosis screening, STD screening and treatment
  • Acute care / “sick” visits, for example: infections, fever, rash, etc.
  • Chronic Disease Management for: diabetes, high blood pressure, asthma, high cholesterol
  • Multidisciplinary and Specialty Services: nutrition, behavioral health, dental referrals, podiatry, diabetes education classes, health education sessions (Group and Individual)

  • Routine health visits including Well Baby and physical exams; school and sports physicals
  • Full scope immunization services for Children birth to 18 years old

  • IHIP (Infant Health Intervention Program): Comprehensive Care Program for high risk newborns
  • Nutritionist and behavioral health professionals specialized in caring for children and teens

After-Hours Clinic for Children and Newborns

Mission Neighborhood Health Center offers after-hours medical care for children and newborns at our Mission-Bernal Clinic. The After-Hours Clinic is available to all children for conditions that require immediate medical attention. Our pediatricians are available evenings, weekends and holidays, but parents must make an appointment by calling 1 (866) 961-8588.

Following are the conditions treated at the After-Hours Clinic:
Cold, flu, sore throat, cough, diarrhea, upset stomach, fever, rash, headache, and earache.

To schedule an appointment, please call 1 (866) 961-8588.

If your child is sick, we can see them at the following hours:
Monday through Friday: 5pm to 8pm
Saturday: 1pm to 5pm
Sunday: 1pm to 5pm

If your newborn needs weight or jaundice care, we can see them at the following hours:
Saturday: 9am to 1pm
Sunday: 9am to 1pm

We are located at 1580 Valencia Street, 7th Floor, suite #702, in San Francisco.

PLEASE REMEMBER: If you have an emergency, call 911 or go to the nearest Emergency Department.

The following Teen services are free and confidential at the Shotwell Clinic and Excelsior Clinic. Our main Teen Clinic is located at the Shotwell site, 240 Shotwell Street, San Francisco, CA.

  • Health Education
  • Family planning/counseling
  • Pregnancy tests
  • STI (sexually transmitted infections) check and treatment
  • Emergency contraception (“Morning After Pill”)
  • HIV tests and counseling
  • Mental health services: general counseling and referrals
  • Dental Referrals
Shotwell Teen Clinic Hours

Mondays and Thursdays 1:30 – 5pm; You can call to schedule an appointment or drop-in before 4pm.
