MNHC will celebrate National Health Center Week 2022 with a Community Health Fair
Mission Neighborhood Health Center (MNHC) will be celebrating National Health Center Week, which runs from August 7 through August 13, 2022. National Health Center Week aims to raise awareness about the importance of America’s health centers over the past five decades.
For the 2022 edition, MNHC will have a health fair on Wednesday, August 10th, from 3pm to 7pm, at the Shotwell Clinic’s parking lot on 16th St. and Shotwell St. in San Francisco.
Approximately 20 programs and services will be featured, mostly from MNHC but also from our community partners. Individuals and families will have the opportunity to learn about asthma prevention, healthy cooking, women’s health, dental services, as well as diabetes and blood pressure testing. People will be able to learn how to enroll for Medi-Cal and how to become a patient at any of the clinics owned by Mission Neighborhood Health Center.
Local DJ B Fresh and Popular Zumba instructor Jenny Morales will be onsite for healthy dancing. The staff at Mission Neighborhood Health Center has prepared other surprises, including a farmer’s market, prizes, and a handful of fun and interesting activities.
The health fair is intended as a form of patient appreciation and community engagement. The health fair is free and open to individuals and families who live or work in San Francisco.
