MNHC Receives Generous $150,000 Donation From The Arthur And Toni Rembe Rock Foundation
We are honored to be a recipient of a donation of $150,000 from the Arthur and Toni Rembe Rock Foundation.
The Rock Foundation is the philanthropic vehicle of venture capitalist, Arthur Rock and his wife, Toni. The foundation supports interests in education reform, legal rights, arts and culture, human services, arts and culture, health, environment.
The couple was honored as the 2018 Outstanding Philanthropists by the Association of Fundraising Professionals for their leadership in philanthropy throughout the Bay area and beyond.
Arthur Rock, a venture capital legend, was a founding investor in Intel, and served as a director on the board of Apple. He has served on many corporate and non-profit boards and was a trustee of the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, and the San Francisco Opera.
Toni Rembe is president of the van Loben Sels/Rembe Rock Foundation, a private foundation specializing in social justice and related legal services. She is a retired partner at Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman LLP in international tax law. In addition to having been active on the boards of several not for profit organizations she has served as a director of several public companies, both local and international.
“We were thrilled to receive this generous unsolicited donation,” said Brenda Storey, Executive Director of MNHC. “It’s always a moment of grace for us when members of the San Francisco community honor our efforts to provide quality healthcare to those we serve.”
Funds from the donation will be used to expand services at the Excelsior site.
