Notice about Valencia Clinic

The Mission Neighborhood Health Center (MNHC) will undergo an important change in its organization, one which will ultimately improve our ability to provide high quality care to all who need it in our community.

Since our founding nearly 50 years ago, we have grown and evolved to be able to care for everyone in our neighborhood. As the Mission District changes, the demand for a Pediatric practice in the area of the Valencia Clinic has decreased and we have seen a steady decline in patients. For this reason, we have made the decision to close the Valencia Clinic and consolidate our Pediatric services to two larger clinics.

In the summer of 2016, staff and services provided at the Valencia Clinic will transition to our Shotwell and Excelsior clinics located in the Mission and Excelsior neighborhoods respectively. We will work with our patients in the next several months to select a new clinic, either Shotwell or Excelsior, where they will continue receiving services.

Both the Shotwell and Excelsior clinics are about a mile and a half away from the Valencia Clinic. Patients will be able to follow their preferred medical provider or select the clinic that is most conveniently located for them.

Through this transition, there will be no interruption or changes in the services patients currently receive from MNHC. Patients who have questions or would like more information, can call the Valencia Clinic during normal business hours at (415) 582-6374.
