I. COLLECTION OF INFORMATION
We may collect the following kinds of information when you use the Services:

Information you provide directly to us. For certain activities, such as when you subscribe to our newsletter, apply for a job at MNHC, donate to us, or contact us directly, we may ask you to provide some or all of the following types of information:

  • Contact information, such as full name, email address, phone number, address, title and organization;
  • Information relating to your correspondence with MNHC, such as the best time to reach you, reason for your contact and any correspondence you sent to us; and
  • Payment information, such as credit card number, expiration date, billing address and credit card security code, where needed to complete a transaction.

Information we collect automatically. We may collect certain information automatically, such as the date and time of your visit, information about the links you click and pages you view within the Services, and other standard server log information.

II. USE OF INFORMATION
We only use payment information, such as credit card numbers, expiration date, and security codes, as necessary to complete a particular transaction or as otherwise required by law.

We generally use the information we collect online to:

  • Respond to your inquiries and fulfill your requests, such as to subscribe you to our newsletter, upon request;
  • Keep a record of your contact information and correspondence, and use it to respond to you, if you contact us through the Services;
  • Contact individuals who have donated to MNHC;
  • Collect information about subscribed users’ interaction with our newsletter and improve our newsletter; and
  • For any other purposes disclosed to you at the time we collect your information or pursuant to your consent.

III. DISCLOSURE OF INFORMATION
We are committed to maintaining your trust, and we want you to understand when and with whom we may share the information we collect.

  • Business transfers. We may share your information in connection with a substantial corporate transaction, such as the sale of a website, a merger, consolidation, asset sale, or in the unlikely event of bankruptcy.
  • Legal purposes. We may disclose information to respond to subpoenas, court orders, legal process, law enforcement requests, legal claims or government inquiries, and to protect and defend the rights, interests, safety, and security of Mission Neighborhood Health Center, our affiliates, users, or the public.
  • With your consent. We may share information for any other purposes disclosed to you at the time we collect the information or pursuant to your consent.

If you access third-party services, such as Facebook, Google, or Twitter, through the Services to login to the Services or to share information about your experience on the Services with others, these third-party services may be able to collect information about you, including information about your activity on the Services, and they may notify your connections on the third-party services about your use of the Services, in accordance with their own privacy policies. Please note that any information you post or disclose through these third-party services will become public information, and may be available to us, to users of the Services and to the general public.

If you choose to engage in activities on the Services which can be viewed by other users of the Services, you should be aware that any information you share there can be read, collected, or used by other users of these public areas (for example, MNHC’s Facebook page). You should use caution in disclosing personal information while participating in these public areas. We are not responsible for the information you choose to submit in these public areas.

IV. SECURITY
Protection of our users’ information is important to us, and we maintain security safeguards to help protect information from loss, theft, misuse and unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration and destruction. You should understand that no data storage system or transmission of data over the Internet or any other public network can be guaranteed to be 100 percent secure. As a result, while we strive to protect your information and privacy, we cannot guarantee the security of any information you disclose or transmit to us online and cannot be responsible for the theft, destruction, or inadvertent disclosure of your information. Please note that information collected by third parties may not have the same security protections as information you submit to us, and we are not responsible for protecting the security of such information. If you have reason to believe that your interaction with us is no longer secure, please immediately notify us of the problem by contacting us in accordance with the “Contacting Us” section below.

V. YOUR CHOICES
If you no longer want to receive communications from MNHC (including our newsletter), please contact us in accordance with the “Contacting Us” section below.

You may be able to refuse or disable cookies by adjusting your web browser settings. Because each web browser is different, please consult the instructions provided by your web browser (typically in the “help” section). Please note that you may need to take additional steps to refuse or disable similar technologies. If you choose to refuse, disable, or delete these technologies, some of the functionality of the Services may no longer be available to you.

VI. THIRD-PARTY LINKS, CONTENT, AND COOKIES
Some of the Services may contain links to content maintained by third parties that we do not control. We may allow third parties to place and read their own cookies, web beacons, and similar technologies to collect information automatically through the sites and online services. The inclusion of a link on the Services does not imply endorsement of the linked site or service by us or by our affiliates. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of these third parties, and we recommend that you visit the privacy policies of each website that you visit.

VII. INTERNATIONAL USERS
The Services are designed for and targeted to U.S. audiences and are governed by and operated in accordance with the laws of the U.S. We make no representation that the Services are operated in accordance with the laws or regulations of any other nations. By using the Services and providing us with information, you understand and agree that your information may be transferred to and stored on servers located outside your resident jurisdiction and, to the extent you are a resident of a country other than the United States, that you consent to the transfer of such data to the United States for processing by us in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

VIII. CALIFORNIA DO NOT TRACK DISCLOSURES
MNHC does not track its customers over time and across third party websites to provide targeted advertising. Some web browsers may transmit “do-not-track” signals to the websites with which the user communicates. However, web browsers respond to this functionality in different ways, and it is not always clear whether users intend for these signals to be transmitted. In addition, there currently is disagreement, including within the leading Internet standards-setting organization, concerning what, if anything, websites should do when they receive such signals. Consequently, MNHC currently does not take action in response to these signals. If a standard is established and accepted, we may reassess how we respond to these signals.

IX. CHILDREN
We do not knowingly collect, use or disclose personal information from children, unless permitted by law.

X. CHANGES TO THE PRIVACY POLICY
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we update the Privacy Policy, we will revise the “Effective Date” date above and post the new Privacy Policy. We recommend that you review the Privacy Policy each time you visit the Services to stay informed of our privacy practices.
